Integration

Integrating after a Kundalini Activation Ceremony

To help the integration process in situations where the energy is very active, it is good to add additional physical exercises, ground yourself by walking in nature barefoot after the session, and swim in the ocean or salt water bath, the cleanse the energy off you.

There is nothing to worry about; the intense energy sensations should stop in the next few days, and one should perhaps integrate a little more before attending another session.

After a session, it is good to take it easy for the rest of the day, take a cold shower, spend some time in nature and observe your energy over the coming days; the energy will continue to work strongly. Most people will notice significant changes and shifts in the days following a session.

Somatic trauma work is energy work.

By working with our soma (body) and energy, we are working directly with the trapped, stagnant, blocked energy that is harboring within our bodies and energy channels.

When we work on releasing this old, perhaps painful energy, we change our patterns and, in tandem, increase our level of consciousness.

Healing is not a matter of “please make it better and make it go away”. It is about an individual making conscious choices and seeing the things that need to change to create harmony and balance in their lives.

It is quite common that when we begin this work we begin to shy away from certain foods, habits, people and situations where we may have felt comfortable or interested in before however, when we release and heal, we no longer operate in our old low levels of consciousness, as we have made a choice to engage with a substance of energy, a particular vibration that produces a certain quality of health, wellness, food, language, environments, people, places and spaces.

When we discover a different level of consciousness, we no longer attract the old vibrations; we become more conscious of our surroundings, what we intake, and whom we spend our time with. Sometimes the old shoe doesn’t fit anymore. We become more conscious of ourselves and what is in our energy field. We may not like certain foods, drinks, people, relationships, or old unhealthy habits.

We also discover ourselves all over again, which is why integration is so important, to merge ourselves back together in alignment with our new diets, interests, and so on. It can be a lot.

We may try to regress and eat and drink things we used to, but our biology has changed. Our bodies adjust to a very different routine and will not let us go back without a fight.

It is as though the light has changed within our cells, and we’ve quite literally changed our relationship to light, energy and consciousness. What wasn’t toxic for us now becomes highly toxic, along with everything poisonous on that vibration.

Many of us have naturally renounced coffee, tea, wine, fast foods, late nights, and toxic friendships… the feedback loop of what isn’t good for us can feel far more intense & heightened.

Or, simply put- you’ll suffer the consequences more. So, it pays to become more aware of your conscious state.

Our old ways do not fit the new level of consciousness, or the “upgrade”, as some call it.

You may become highly sensitive to things that felt ok before and feel the need to be in environments that are a little calmer and soul supportive.

So, if and when people say, “you’ve changed, “you have in more ways than just a few!

This work is life changing work, it isn't a matter of just hopping on the mat for two hours and going back to life how it was before. There is no going back to old ways of being as you literally begin to change your chemical make up and your relationship with life. This is such a beautiful process but can often feel slightly jarring or isolating at times in the beginning, so really surrounding yourself with like minded people who are on a similar path or journey to you is super important.

Integration is key when we work with deep energy healing methods. I have made the mistake of ignoring that advice in the past, taking it with a pinch of salt, and paying for it in the long run.

If you were to have a cast taken off your leg, for example, you wouldn’t think it was a good idea to go and pound the pavement straight away… you would ease yourself back in whilst the muscle strengthened and gained full range of motion. It is similar to energy healing. When we work with the root cause of our traumas, imprinting, physical manifestations and so on, we can expect a lot of energy to continue dissipating and integrating in the days following our sessions.

Our work on the mat is only about 10% of the overall energy shifting; the real magic begins after our sessions in integration.

Whilst energy is instant; once it’s gone, it has gone; we still need to integrate the lessons, the old patterns, changes in perceptions, and the invisible parts of us to come back into wholeness to reach new heights of clarity, wisdom and spiritual connection. It is not uncommon to feel emotionally raw and fragile after an energy healing. You may also:

  • Experience outbursts of emotions, exhaustion and feeling out of balance or sorts.

  • Feel aches and pains in your body where there was once tension

  • Although a little less often, fever and flu (I have experienced this close to dengue fever for the big releases)

It can be more common than we think, and whilst we go to energy healings to come out feeling better, there can be some contractions along the way when it occurs; it can include physical, mental, emotional and spiritual/energetic components, which can last from a few days to a week or so. Even though we cannot see energy, we can feel it in many forms depending on how it manifests. If it was painful coming into the body, i.e., the death of a loved one, then we can expect it to feel temporarily painful when it leaves.

Energy healing is much like a physical detox. However, with this, we cleanse and purify the mind, body and soul, so we can expect at times to have detox symptoms before the light comes and we feel clear.

Our nervous system may have been bound to energies that have constricted us, that is painful to feel and wound up in a tight ball…. The unwinding of this can mean a lot of new energy is moving through our system, which can feel a little unsettling in the first few days following.

The big releases sure do come in our sessions, but the debris of emotions will continue to purge in the days and weeks coming.

It is a contraction before expansion. Some call this the dark night of the soul. But boy, it is the most magical elixir to integrate into your being when the light comes in hard and fast. No money, pill or object can give you this. It is a right of passage, a path taken or the path not taken.  If it were easy, though, everyone would be doing it, and that is why I am so grateful, as someone who lost someone to suicide, to everyone who does this work.

Please remember that this process needs repetition, and you are the one who dictates the pace of your journey; there is no right or wrong pace here. If you trust this journey, know that the energy will be opening other layers and working deeper with time and repetition; come each time you are drawn to and ready to experience it. Let the point shed the layers of what no longer serves you and share the profound transformation.

The experience can be energetically intense and mild for a smaller number of people. Know that this work is based on letting go; you must let go to experience it. Some people have more difficulty than others letting go and surrendering but know the energy is working to the right degree for you in the given moment. The critical factor here is to deepen this experience with time; repetition and surrendering to the process are essential. You may need a few sessions to deepen into experiencing that space.

During the session, please be a witness to the experience, observe it and allow it. Let the energy take you on a journey, don’t judge it, be present and watch where it takes you.
