Integration Tools
Rebalancing and connecting the Mind, Body and Soul
What we experience in a healing session is only 5% of the work. The other 95% is up to us on how we integrate the wisdom, downloads, and shifts we experienced on the mat.
The gifts received in class can only go as far as we decide to take them. Same as if we were to receive a work out plan from our trainer and then only read it. We would not see any results just by reading it. There needs to be consistent action to see change.
Same goes for healing. You can not expect a healing ceremony to completely change your life. You have the opportunity and power to make the changes you wish to see in your life. The healing session simply offers you a guide and starting point.
As we integrate our healing ceremony experience, we may notice a change in our energy. Some may feel super energized, others may feel very tired. Whatever the case may be, it is best to tune into your body and your needs at this time. Specific tools that have helped me on my own journey and integrating have been:
Journaling/reflecting on my experience, what I want to create, what I am working through, what I am feeling, sometimes even just writing words that don’t even make sense.
Water: because we have accessed the Kundalini life-force energy, we have activated a fire within us. Anything with water feels very nourishing to rebalance that- drinking lots of water, submerging in water (baths, swimming in bodys of water, ice bath, etc)
Sleep: getting extra rest as your Mind, body and soul rewire, reconnect and rebalance. Go to bed earlier or take naps where you can if you feel the need for rest
Ground: be one with nature, walk barefoot in grass, bathe in the sun
Co-regulate: speak with others that you feel comfortable with about your experience, call a loved one, spend time with community
Be with self: others like to take some time in solitude, meditate
Nourish your body with grounding foods
Movement: dance, yoga, strength training, running, etc, whatever feels good to your body
There is not a one size fits all with integrating. You may feel like some of these tools feel nourishing and others not, you find what is best for your own journey. Sometimes what feels good after one session may be different in the next.
Whatever the case may be, offer yourself grace and love. Give yourself time and space to upgrade and come back to self.
